Municipal Courts in the State of New Jersey were established by Law in 1949, and are governed by the principals of Independence, Fairness and Integrity.
The Municipal Court Administrator, Tracey Sorrentino, is recognized as a Certified Court Administrator by the State of New Jersey, having successfully completed the certification process and maintaining yearly continuing education credits. It is the Court Administrator who is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Municipal Court. We are governed by Court Rule and answer directly to the Administrative Office of the Courts. We are reviewed yearly by that agency and are also audited yearly, by the Neptune City Borough Auditing Firm.

The Neptune City Municipal Court services the Neptune City Municipal Court, as of January 1, 2017 the Bradley Beach and Avon by the Sea will not be serviced by the Neptune City Municipal Court.
